The 2012 comedy series Girls is considered by many to be pretty much Sex and the City but worse. However, it managed to gather millions of fans due to its relatable situations surrounding four millennials living in New York and their efforts to get their lives in order.

Although fans are entitled to love whatever they want, it cannot be denied that the show was widely criticized as a horrible example of how the youth should live their lives and tackle mundane problems.

Furthermore, over the years, it was realized by viewers that the show did not feature any people of color and attempted to manipulate our perception by suggesting that the encounter between Adam Driver and Shiri Appleby's characters was not sexual assault.
