After witnessing only two seasons, a clear understanding emerges as to why the decision to eliminate T.J. Miller's character was made by the showrunners.

In season 4, it appears that he was disposed of by being placed in an opium den situated somewhere in Asia. When questioned regarding this contentious choice, the executives acknowledged that T.J. consistently arrived late for table reads, and sometimes did not attend at all. Consequently, their initial intention was to reduce the comedian's presence from 10 episodes to merely 3, but ultimately they opted to essentially eliminate him from the show.
