Lumira vs Umbra - Hero Wars Alliance

Light against Dark, Energy against Energy: two summoners, five rounds, one winner in Hero Wars Alliance.

In one corner, Lumira, the Light summoner whose Child of Light feeds Energy to the team. In the other, Umbra, the Dark summoner who sends the Child of Darkness behind enemy lines to steal it. Both play the Energy game, from opposite ends.

Light and Dark beat each other, so the element settles nothing. That leaves five rounds: durability, damage, signature skill, control and gear.

1

Round 1: Durability

Lumira brings the bigger Health pool: 9,791,071 at max level against Umbra's 9,527,465, a lead of 263,606. It is a narrow gap, but in a battle between two back-line summoners every bit of staying power counts.

ROUND WINNERLumira - 263,606 more Health at max level.
2

Round 2: Damage

Umbra swings for 538,802 Physical Attack against Lumira's 519,032, about 4% more. Both basic attacks share a 6-second cooldown, and neither summon deals damage, so the higher Attack takes it.

ROUND WINNERUmbra - about 4% more Physical Attack.
3

Round 3: Signature Skill

Child of Light appears in front of Lumira's team and, when it disappears, grants the lowest-Energy ally up to 1,000 Energy, depending on how much of its Health is left. It can be attacked, so the enemy can shrink that payout.

Child of Darkness goes behind the enemy team, drains 50% Energy from nearby enemies, and after 4 seconds hands it all to Umbra's highest-Energy ally. It drains the enemy and feeds Umbra's side in one move.

ROUND WINNERUmbra - takes Energy from the enemy and gives it to an ally.
4

Round 4: Control

With 5 Light titans alive, Lumira's Eternal Sunshine makes allied Light titans stun the enemy with the highest Physical Attack for 4 seconds on their first ability. Umbra's 5-titan bonus makes enemies lose 100 Energy each time Darkness titans damage them. Useful, but a 4-second stun on the enemy's biggest hitter is the stronger lock.

ROUND WINNERLumira - a 4-second stun on the top damage dealer.
5

Round 5: Gear

Both kits carry bonuses against Fire, Earth and Water titans, and Umbra adds another +150,000 Extra Defense from the same three elements, so all of that does nothing in a Light vs Dark fight. Umbra's gear does carry 300,000 more Health than Lumira's (+4,575,000 against +4,275,000), but Lumira answers with a +120,000 Physical Attack artifact that Umbra has no match for. Skins are identical at +196,800 Physical Attack each.

ROUND WINNERLumira - a +120,000 Physical Attack artifact, while most of Umbra's bonuses do nothing here.

The Verdict

Lumira wins the head-to-head, 3 rounds to 2. More Health, a 4-second stun on the enemy's hardest hitter and an extra Attack artifact edge out Umbra, even though Umbra hits a little harder and has the nastier summon.

Pick Lumira for a full Light team, where that stun can swing the whole fight, or when you want a summoner that feeds Energy to the ally who needs it most. Pick Umbra when you want to starve the enemy of Energy and speed up your own ultimates.
