Hero Wars is an epic fantasy MMORPG where you can lead unique heroes with many skills in a lot of tactic and strategy battles. Here are some tips & tricks that will help you gain more resources and advance faster in the game.
There's a quest related to opening 7 chests in Outlands that seems impossible to complete because there are only 5 battles available each day.
Guess what? It is possible.
You have to open only 3 chests every other day and leave the rest for the next day.
This way, you'll be able to open 7 chests, complete the quest and earn additional 100 Outland Coins.

There are some exceptions like Nebula where you need to build her glyphs in the following order: 1 - Attack, 2 - Main Stat, 3 - Health, 4 - Defence.
Pay special attention to the enchantment runes you are using and their type when you are about to reach the maximum level of a glyph.
If reaching the maximum level requires 20 units of enchanting energy and you use a Great enchantment rune (which contains 100 units of enchanting energy), you will lose 80 enchanting energy points. No points will be reimbursed.
You can use the tickets from the theater to buy emeralds and then exchange them for energy. If you level up your top 5 heroes team first and do well in the Arena, spending 2 x 50 emeralds (240 energy in total) should keep your emeralds balance positive and contribute to your daily guild activity points.
Updating hero's glyphs at least once a day will guarantee you 700 guild activity points each day.
If you reach 850 guild activity points, you'll receive 20 glyphs as a reward (10x10).
If you reach 1500 guild activity points, you'll receive 300 glyphs as a reward (15x20).
Even if you have plenty of glyphs at the moment, think twice before spending all of them at once.
If you can't reach 1500 guild activity points by spending energy, you can also earn them by selling items that you don't need. Start from the top of the list, where are the items with the lowest quality.
Joining an active guild that reaches the maximum guild activity points each day will usually guarantee you the chance to upgrade at least one glyph a day.
Put 3 strong heroes in each of the slots in the Grand Arena and build teams around them. Try to distract the enemy.
A common distraction strategy is to level up heroes even if their skills or
artifacts are not upgraded. Consider the level of the enemy's heroes and their total power and their rank reached.
Remember that the enemy teams will also have to be assembled, so it is not a question of the best one or the best two teams here.
The strategy here is similar to the Grand Arena fights except that all fights can be conducted just before 8 p.m., so a higher ranking is achieved and a higher reward is received.
There's also a reward for reaching a level you have never reached before. Use all of your battle fights left after 8 p.m. to try getting this prize, or test your team and get some feedback.
Hero placement in battles is essential during fights due to the buffs and debuffs of the heroes based on their position and skill activation.
For example, it is good to use Dorian against
Cleaver. The reason for this is that Cleavar draws the furthest enemy to him (using his "Rusty Hook" skill) and if this is
Dorian, he will increase the vampirism of the nearby allies.
Each hero has a faction which allows him to use his skill with other heroes from the same faction. There are total 6 factions in the game.
The Faction Brawls is a 4-day event that allows you to pick a team of any maxed-out hero of predefined factions. There are 6 quest stages that can be achieved every day. For each stage, you get an increasing award, as you must win 5 attacks to pass to the next one.
One winning costs 6 tokens, as the total cost per stage is 30 tokens.
So is it worth battling every day or doing it every other day, or is this something else? Let's see the awards per stage first.

Sky Arena is a new battle mode in Hero Wars Alliance. It allows you to fight against other players and win meta cubes used to roll talisman stats.
You can unlock this game mode once you've reached the 120 level. Even if that usually that the maximum level of heroes and titans is 120, the maximum level of each captain you can reach in this game mode is 60.
It is essential to choose the right heroes for each particular captain and each battle so heroes need to be placed at each compartment based on their physical or magical attack indicators on each ship and also based on the synergies between different heroes.
Physical attack indicators are colored in red and the magical attack indicators in purple. This means that you need to place heroes that deal this type of damage to have maximum results.
Hero Skills for ShipsHero | Skills |
Galahad | Deals Damage (Depends on physical attack) to all enemy compartments |
Dare Devil | Increases the damage of the cannon in her compartment (Depends on physical attack) for 3.0 seconds and immediately fires it 3 times |
Ginger | Increases the damage of all cannons (Depends on physical attack) for 2.0 seconds and immediately fires them |
Judge | Restores shield durability (Depends on magic attack) |
Jorgen | Makes the Captain gain energy (Depends on physical attack) for firing cannons for 5.0 seconds |
Isaac | Increases the damage of all cannons (Depends on physical attack) for 5.0 seconds |
Xe'Sha | Deals damage (Depends on magic attack) to a single enemy compartment |
Fafnir | Increases the damage of the cannon in his compartment (Depends on physical attack) for 8.0 seconds |
Qing Mao | Decreases the enemy's shield durability (Depends on physical attack) |
The total cost of leveling a captain to the maximum level (60) is 35,330 Sky Elixir points.

The result of the battle will be counted just after you start the fight. So if you start your battle at 7:59:55 (plus 2-3 seconds for connection time), your battle result will be visible for the rest of the players a few seconds after this, even if the battle may take 30 seconds or more to complete.
Having this in mind, even if you start your battle a couple of seconds before 8 pm, e.g., 7:59:55, and your battle takes more than 5 seconds, you'll still get the reward for the position won.
Using a WiFi connection instead of a 4G connection may help you to increase your timing accuracy.
If you have enough gold, you'll be able to buy EXP potion every day to keep your top 5 teams always leveled up with your team level.
If you are early in the game, it is also important to buy the available items here, even if you don't need them to upgrade your heroes. You can exchange these items for guild activity points which will guarantee you receiving glyphs.
As a rule of thumb, you have to level up 5 strong heroes first. This will also guarantee you are climbing to the top of the tower with no or fewer efforts.
If possible, use two healers so you can keep all of your heroes in good health up to the top. Martha and Celeste are some of the best choices, but you can also use Thea if you have not unlocked these two so far.
Alternatively, if you only use Celeste, switch to her healing form and keep her this way until the end of each battle.
After reaching Level 90, you'll be able to auto-complete the Tower.
Buying soul coins as early as possible in the game will guarantee you leveling up a hero to 6 stars in a timely manner.
Once you level up one of your heroes to 6 stars, you'll have access to a soul shop where you can exchange soul coins for items. You can exchange one soul stone for 100 soul stone coins.
Kai, Orion, Faceless, and Satori are some of the considered choices to level up to 6 stars, even if they might not be in your main team or if you are not planning to use them in your main team. You can always use them in the B or C team in the Grand Arena.
Try to gather 150 Titanite in the Dungeon every day so you can receive summoning circles and level up your titans. Why 150? This is the amount considered "safe" for collecting every day. Battles are becoming harder each level, and slowing down will guarantee you a constant flow of summoning circles each day.
Another way of obtaining Titanite is by buying summoning spheres in the "Circle of Summoning." Buying 10 summoning spheres will add 100 Titanite to your daily Titanite stats.
Usually, the best time to buy summoning spheres is during an event, when there's a 55% discount.
Do manual titan battles and save energy near the end of each battle.
Leave the titans to kill the leftover enemies with low health so they can reload energy - this works well if you have
Hyperion in your team so he can heal the titan with the lowest health in your team.
This also guarantees you are reloading more energy for the next round.
Sigurd's shield lasts for 5 seconds, and if you activate it too early before the battle begins, you will lose some of the seconds while the team walks towards the titan battle. Try to activate it just before the enemy team makes the first hit. It is also very effective to save it in a manual titan battle and activate it just before
Araji uses his ultimate. This way, the shield will absorb
Araji's damage.
The same rule for timeliness is also valid for
Avalon,
Ignis, and
Mairi. If you activate their skills before they are in the battle, you might lose seconds before the battle begins.
Nova can stun three enemies at the backline if they are not moving. So hold on using the stun ability at the beginning of each battle until the titans stop moving.
Remember this: Water beats Fire, Fire beats Earth and Earth beats Water.
This is called the "Circle of the Elements."
When you fight against a single element titans team (Water, Fire, or Earth) in the Dungeon, you'll receive a titan soul stone from the element that is weaker than your opponent team's element. For example:
- If your opponent in the Dungeon is a Fire titans team, you'll have to fight it with a Water titans team by default, and you'll get Earth titan soul stones as a reward.
- If your opponent in the Dungeon is a Water titans team, you'll have to fight it with an Earth titans team by default, and you'll get Fire titan soul stones as a reward.
- If your opponent in the Dungeon is an Earth titans team, you'll have to fight it with a Fire titans team by default, and you'll get Water titan soul stones as a reward.
Pick the opponent team wisely based on the titan soul stones you need at the moment. For example, if you have leveled up all of your Fire titans to 6 stars and you don't need more of their soul stones at the moment, you should not fight against Water titans (with Earth titans by default) because you'll get Fire titans souls stones.
Save aside some of your daily emerald earnings for leveling up your titans. Strong titans teams are highly likely to be considered champions in the Guild Wars, which will bring you more Guild Wars Shop's resources.
Global Championship tournaments will give you trophies that can be used to buy rare items and soul stones. For example, such an item is the Evolution Booster which costs 1500 global championship trophies. This item will allow you to evolve heroes without spending millions of gold.
If you are planning to use the "Evolution Booster," please note 1 soul stone will cost approximately 1.666666667 global championship trophies.
Please note there might be some roundings that may increase the soul stone cost.
For example, leveling a hero from 2 stars to 3 stars requires 50 soul stones or 83.33333335 trophies (50 souls tones x 1.666666667), which will be rounded to 84 soul stones by the game. This increases the cost per soul stone to 1.68 global championship trophies.
The ghost bridge will be located between the Lighthouse and the Foundry. It will provide an alternative way to reach the Citadel. Most recently, with the Titan artifacts addition, putting maxed-out titans at the bridge will surely mean an almost impossible way of progressing in the war for most guilds.
The ghost bridge was introduced as a solution to this issue, and it will be revealed on July 18, 2021.
It might be costly to upgrade your Gift of the Elements for a hero in your main team every day. If you don't do it, you won't be able to complete the quest to gather 150 Titanite.
To bypass this limitation, upgrade the first level of any hero (250 sparks that cost 7000 gold) and then reset it.
The Rarity Fair allows you to promote heroes by spending emeralds instead of spending energy for gaining the missing hero's items.
It appears only once per day, just after your first energy spends for the day.
If you chose to promote the hero via the Rarity Fair, you'd be offered to do the same for another hero right after this. You can promote up to two heroes per day using the Rarity Fair.
The heroes that qualify for being in the Rarity Fair should have a high enough level so you can equip all of their items.
Consider putting on hold leveling up heroes you don't need at the moment so you can have the ones you are interested in more often in the Rarity Fair's pool.
You have the chance to change your timezone once every 30 days.
Switching to a timezone that is behind (e.g., from GMT+3 to GMT+2) will allow you to play two times in the arena and receive two awards on the same day. In our example, the first award will be at 7 pm and the second one will be at 8 pm.
The switch between the timezones needs to be done in the gap between the new timezone and the old one (e.g., between 7 pm and 8 pm).
Note that changing the timezone can affect your daily routine. You can naturally do this after the end of the daily saving time.
One of the most effective teams against Hydra is Martha, Mojo, Jhu, Maya, and Markus. Some players report that even if their team is strong enough, they don't do millions of damage as expected.
This is because you need Hydra to have as much health as possible to boost your damage dealt.
Jhu's third skill, "I will take your life," is related to doing damage based on the enemy's health. So Jhu will do more damage if the Hydra head's health is full or as much as possible.
Mojo will multiply the damage with his fourth passive skill, "Hex." You only need Mojo's fourth skill maxed out and keep him alive long enough so he can activate it. The skill will stay active during the whole fight even if Mojo dies.
In addition, you can also add a hero with a high magic penetration weapon, like Orion, Lars, which will boost Mojo's damage output, or use a
different hero team combination based on your account development.
It might be tempting to attack the first levels of Hydra because you'll be able to beat them easily. However, this might not be the best strategy for your guildmates.
Some quests give you Fairy Dust based on the damage you do for each Hydra.
For example, if you have already been stuck doing more damage than the quest can reward you for Common Hydra and Elder Hydra, you have to consider skipping these for a couple of days or attack them later so that the other guild members can benefit from these quests as well.
Leveling up one artifact of a titan to its maximum level of 120 will require 247,036 fairy dust and 196,147,700 million gold or 349,642 emeralds.
Leveling up one titan's artifacts to their maximum level of 120 will require 741,108 fairy dust and 588,443,100 million gold or 1,048,926 emeralds.
Leveling up all titan artifacts to their maximum level of 120 will require 8,893,296 fairy dust and 7,061,317,200 million of gold or 12,587,112 emeralds.
You may have missed these, but several game settings are good to be turned on.
Turning "Always use Auto-Battles" on guarantees you that you are always doing auto-battle mode in the Guild war battles, which is critical for a win.
The "Complete Skill Info" option will provide you detailed information about each Hero's skills.
At first sight, the quests "Weapons of Light" and "Souls Saved" seem like too energy-consuming ones. You can save your energy spending by completing campaigns that cover both quests - obtain an item and save souls simultaneously. Here are some examples:
- 3-2 (Rocky Wasteland) - you can both fight "Killer Orc" and receive "Imperial Shield" items
- 3-11 (Fir Valley) - you can both fight "Killer Orc" and receive "Skull Crusher" items
- 4-11 (Granite of Silence) - you can both fight "Skeleton-arbalester" and receive "Cane's Seal" items
- 8-5 (Monolith of Deceit) - you can both fight "Wild Demon" and obtain "Serenity Stone" items
- 7-4 (Torchlit Passage) - you can both fight "Killer Orc" and obtain "Funeral Totem" items
- AoE - area of effect - an attack that affects multiple targets
- DPS - damage per second
- F2P/P2P - free to play / pay to play
- GA - Grand Arena
- GW / Server - The Guild War
- Meta (meta team) - the most effective combination
- ODH - team that includes Orian, Dorian, and Helios
- XServer - Cross-Server Tournament
- RNG - Random number generation
