Tydus vs Asherona - Hero Wars Alliance

Water puts out Fire - or does it? Two summoners, five rounds, one winner in Hero Wars Alliance.

Two summoners, two elements that have hated each other since forever. Tydus calls up the Child of Water to drain the enemy and patch up his team. Asherona drops the Child of Flame right in the middle of the enemy and lets it burn.

Water beats Fire on paper, but Asherona swings harder and faster. Five rounds settle it: durability, damage, signature skill, elemental matchup and gear.

Round 1: Durability

Tydus carries 9,243,111 Health at max level against Asherona's 8,690,806, a lead of 552,305. Both wear a Summon Seal with the same +4,275,000 Health, so the gap holds.

ROUND WINNERTydus - about 6% more Health at max level.
2

Round 2: Damage

Asherona hits harder: 566,355 Physical Attack against Tydus's 542,621, about 4% more. The swing is quicker too, with a 0.97-second animation delay against Tydus's 1.8 seconds, and a 4-second cooldown against 4.1.

ROUND WINNERAsherona - more Attack and a faster basic attack.
3

Round 3: Signature Skill

Child of Flame burns every opponent around it for 169,907 damage every 2 seconds over 6 seconds, which is 509,721 per enemy caught in it. Child of Water steals 217,048 Health every second for 7 seconds from the enemy with the most Health and hands it to the ally with the least.

That is up to about 1.5 million Health moved from one side to the other, which hurts the enemy and heals Tydus's team at the same time.

ROUND WINNERTydus - damage and healing in one skill.
4

Round 4: Elemental Matchup

Water beats Fire, and Tydus's passive, Deep Current, leans right into it: with 2 Water titans alive it grants 135,655 Extra Damage against Fire titans, and with 3 the same amount as Extra Defense. Asherona's Blazing Blessing aims its Extra Damage and Defense at Earth titans, so those do nothing here.

ROUND WINNERTydus - Water beats Fire, and the passive is built against Fire.
5

Round 5: Gear

Tydus's Water Crown adds +255,000 Extra Damage to Fire titans and +100,500 Extra Defense from them. Asherona's Fire Crown targets Earth titans, so it does nothing in this fight. Asherona's weapon does bring +120,000 Health regen against Tydus's +120,000 Physical Attack, and the seals and skins are identical, but the crown swing decides it.

ROUND WINNERTydus - a crown that works here against one that does not.

The Verdict

Tydus wins the head-to-head, 4 rounds to 1. Asherona hits harder and faster, but Tydus has more Health, a summon that steals and heals, and a passive and crown tuned for exactly this matchup.

Pick Asherona when you face Earth titans, where the Fire Crown and Blazing Blessing turn on and the Child of Flame can burn a whole enemy line. Pick Tydus when the enemy runs Fire titans, or when your team needs a summoner that keeps its weakest ally alive.
