Scroll & Sleep & Wake & Scroll

First, let's take a minute to talk about the worst and most-common habit of them all: the temptation of social media! Your phone reflecting in your eyes right before you go to sleep and after you wake up is one of the worst things you could do to your body. According to the National Sleep Foundation the blue light that's emitted from these screens can delay the release of sleep - inducing melatonin. This, however, won't do you good in the morning because it will be at the cost of bad mood, anxiety and even depression. Instead of trying to keep up with the world, devote late nights and early mornings to self-reflection, relaxation and time & task management.

It's very important how you cook your meals, especially if they contain mushrooms, eggs, rice or potatoes. It's better if you don't reheat these foods in the microwave, because they may develop bacteria in the leftovers and turn out to be toxic. Today's batteries may be way better than before, but experts from Battery University advise us to unplug our phones when fully charged. Yes, modern chargers turn off when you reach 100%. After they turn off, eventually, your phone reaches 99% at some point - so they keep charging again to reach 100%. This goes on and on while you're sleeping and causes higher temperatures for your phone, harming your capacity. Another interesting research from 2019 found out that wireless charging risks depleting the life of phones. The problem is due to the amount of useless and potentially damaging heat.

You may be a fan of hot showers, but you shouldn't use the same temperature directly to your face. Cold water is also not а solution, just trust your guts for temperature control. Save the natural oils of your face if you want to prevent yourself from dry skin. Always use lukewarm water like American Academy of Dermatology advised in a report.

Know your tablewear and hold your wine glass right

Again, a common mistake hides in the way we're holding wine glasses. If you're giving a toast or simply having a "me-time" moment you should hold the base of the stem using 3 fingers - thumb, forefinger and middle finger. This way wine stays colder for longer and doesn't change its taste. Improve your other table manners too, they can be extremely important in some situations. Stay classy!
