Lyria - Hero Wars Dominion Era

Lyria hero guide, glyphs, artifacts, skins, best teams, and best counters in Hero Wars Dominion Era.

Lyria is a frontline physical support and anti-dodge specialist in Hero Wars: Dominion Era. Her Shackles of Doom aura lowers enemy dodge and boosts allies’ physical attack, especially when undead are present. Her ultimate, Soul Reaper, grows stronger as she collects souls from fallen heroes or summons, making her shine in long battles and against dodge-based teams like Dante or Aurora.

However, Lyria struggles against magic-heavy or pure-damage teams, where her dodge-reduction offers little value. Her defenses are weaker than true tanks, leaving her vulnerable to burst or armor-piercing damage. She also depends heavily on skill upgrades and synergy with physical teams to perform well.

Lyria fits best with physical DPS heroes and summoners who help her generate souls and extend her aura’s benefits. Supports like Nebula or Sebastian enhance her damage or durability. But in fights dominated by mages or stealth units, she needs protection to avoid being quickly overwhelmed.

Pros
  • Strong anti-dodge aura (Shackles of Doom) makes her effective against heroes like Dante and Aurora

  • Boosts allies’ physical attack, especially when paired with undead or summon-heavy teams

  • Soul Reaper ultimate scales well in long fights, growing stronger with each fallen hero or summon

  • Can serve as an off-tank while still supporting damage dealers

  • Works well with physical supports like Nebula and Sebastian for added synergy

Cons
  • Weak against magic or pure-damage teams where dodge reduction is useless

  • Lower armor and magic defense than true tanks, making her vulnerable to burst damage

  • Requires heavy investment in skills, skins, and artifacts to reach full potential

  • Dependent on team composition - performs poorly without physical DPS allies

  • Effectiveness drops in short battles where she can’t build enough souls

Lyria had to learn to cope with her blood-chilling gift from a young age. The only thing more harrowing than seeing ghosts was hearing their haunting wails wherever she went. It was hard, but eventually she realized that ignoring the spirits wouldn't make the problem go away. It turned out that making deals with the dead was a much better solution, and as an added bonus, it granted her power. One of the deals she made helped a truly powerful spirit named Keira break her curse and granted her the chance to rest in peace one day.

Lyria Skills

Lyria Soul Reaper Skill
1st
Soul Reaper
Lyria collects a soul every time someone dies on the battlefield. Once activated, Lyria opens a portal to the realm of the dead, unleashing vengeful spirits. The portal releases at least 3 spirits, with each of them dealing one strike. The number of extra spirits scales with the number of reaped souls but cannot exceed 7. Each extra hit consumes one reaped soul. All hits target the enemy with the lowest health.
Damage per hit: 41521 (Depends on physical attack)
Lyria Bonds of Alliance Skill
2nd
Bonds of Alliance
Lyria binds herself to the ally with the highest physical attack for 12 seconds. Both Lyria and the bonded ally receive a vampirism bonus. While the Bonds of Alliance are active, vampirism restores health for them both. If the bonded ally is undead, they both get a physical attack bonus.
Vampirism: 20
Physical attack bonus: 10000

How to counter Lyria in Hero Wars Alliance?

Iris
Iris

Iris deals pure damage based on missing HP, cutting through Lyria’s large health pool and weak magic defense. When Lyria tanks, Iris can quickly burn her down before she gains momentum.

Helios
Helios

Helios punishes crit-heavy teams boosted by Lyria’s aura. His Flaming Retribution reflects magic damage from critical hits, turning Lyria’s offensive buffs against her own allies.

Alvanor
Alvanor

Alvanor's shields and defensive buffs blunt Lyria’s physical team advantage. His auras reduce incoming damage and stall fights, preventing Lyria’s side from capitalizing on her attack boosts.

Arachne
Arachne

Arachne's stuns stop Lyria from collecting souls or casting Soul Reaper. Her early burst and control keep Lyria locked down before she can build power.

Lyria Pet Priority

Fenris

Fenris is Lyria's top pet due to his armor-penetration bonus and physical attack boost, which amplify her team’s damage output. His blind effect also helps reduce incoming basic attacks, making him ideal for Lyria’s aggressive, physical-based teams.

Oliver

When Lyria is positioned as a tank, Oliver becomes the safer option. His healing and defensive buffs increase her survivability, compensating for her lower armor and magic resistance, especially against burst or sustained magic teams.

Biscuit

Biscuit adds control and sustainability to Lyria’s lineup. His healing reduction helps against teams with strong sustain (like Martha or Thea), while his shield effect mitigates damage from area bursts. Great for defensive or balanced team setups.
