One of the Melrose Place stars, who would later become the most famous, was not initially intended to be a regular on the series. In the first season, she made a few guest appearances, but due to the tremendous success she brought to the show, the decision was made by the writers to include her as a regular cast member for the subsequent seasons.

Unfortunately, since that time, Locklear's life has not been as successful. She has faced challenges with the law, addiction, rehab, psychiatric issues, and a series of divorces.
