Here we are headed in the MILF direction, but it's well worth it because Zelena is among the few well developed green skinned characters on the small screen.
She starts out as a human but gradually her skin develops a green hue due to the relentless envy she feels because of her sister – the more popular and slightly more talented Evil Queen. The two are step-sisters with great magical abilities, cleavage and evil thoughts. However, their destiny wills that their stories develop in separate worlds and so the two of them rule over their own kingdoms with an iron fist, constantly torturing and murdering their subjects.
During many of her adventures Zelena flirts with the god of the underworld, travels through different worlds and timelines, seduces Robin Hood so she can have his child and plays a key role in the development of the storyline. At the end, however, Zelena becomes friends with her sister and sees the benefits of the good sides at which point she becomes white again and finds relative happiness even though she doesn't rule over a kingdom anymore.
Most of the time Zelena is quite angry and almost insane which doesn't really stand in the way of her sex appeal, but rather boosts it.
