Her real name in the real world isn’t clear, but in the village she’s called M2. There she spends her days sleeping because that’s the only way she can keep this little world in existence. Precisely there is where her son lives, 1112. In the real world she can’t have any children which is why she spends her days in torturous efforts directed to keeping this artificial world alive. She basically gives up on her own life, as well as the one she has in the Village with the sole purpose of preserving the life of her made up son.
Despite the fact that 1112 doesn’t exist, but is actually a part of the sub-consciousness of M2 and her husband, life in the Village feels real 95% of the time. That’s the best M2 is capable of and she gives it her all in both worlds, just so she can preserve her son’s life.
